Shrub 1 m. Stems woody, dark green with white/grey hairs; leaves dark green; flowers yellowish-green, both female and male on one plant.

Flowers

Monocot. Leaves: light grey-green, long slender, spreading from base. Flower stalk +-1m tall; flowers: widely spaced towards top of stalk, ppetals x 6 blue +-8mmx10mm, rounded to slightly tapered tips.

Mono. Tubers below, leaves graas-like from base, variable lengths, fanning out along one plane, tallest central, shorter to the sides, flower stalk +-15cm above leaves, blue flowers, 6 petals, alternating from larger to smaller, yellow anthers central.

Small tree amongst rocks

Shrub to 1 m, occasional among grasses in disturbed sites. Stems light green with cream hairs. Leaves light green. Flower cream. Bracts green. Rostrum with orange coloration.

common pyrophyte with rosette of long leaves, flowering after fire; capitula dingy white.

Aquatic herb, anchored in mud but floating to the surface. Fruiting bodies swollen, green turning brown. Locally abundant.
