Slender terrestrial herb 15-35 cm tall; tubers ovoid, woolly, 1-1.5 x 0.5-1 cm; leaves 5-9, the lowermost 1-2 sheathing, mid-stem leaves suberect, 1.5-83.5 x 0.5-1 cm, lanceolate, upper stem leaves bract-like; inflorescence to 12 x 4 cm long, laxly 2-9 flowered, bracts slightly shorter; ovary and pedicel arched, 15-25 mm long; flowers green; dorsal sepal 11-12 x 6-8 mm, elliptic, obtuse; lateral sepals 10-12 x 4-6 mm, spreading, partly adnate to column and base of lip; petals 2-lobed to 4-6 mm from base, upper lobe 8-12 x 3-4 mm, adnate to dorsal sepal, lower lobe erect, 16-21 x c. 1 mm, linear, glabrous, fleshy; lip 3-lobed to 3-5.5 mm from base; mid-lobe deflexed, 7-10 x 2 mm, linear; side lobes 13-15 x 0.8-0.9 mm, linear, deflexed or projecting forwards and diverging; spur 20-30 mm long, curved forwards and up, forming a complete loop, somewhat swollen near apex; anther loculi 2-3 mm long, reclinate, canals very short; stigmatic arms porrect, 3-4 mm long, enlarged and truncate at apex.
