Description:
Slender bush, occasionally scrambling, up to 3 m. Leaves 3-13 cm long, 3-7-lobed wth a cordate base and 5-7-veined from the base, lobed half to three quarters, middle lobe longest, with both simple and stellate hairs on both surfaces; margin irregularly crenate-dentate; petiole up to 8 cm long, pubescent; stipules up to 8 mm long, setaceous. Inflorescences in extra-axillary and leaf-opposed, 6-20-flowered umbels; peduncles up to 8 cm long, pubescent. Flowers white, sometimes tinged purplish with petals about as long as sepals; stamens numerous (c. 50), yellow. Capsule ellipsoid, 2-2.5 cm long including bristles, 4-5-valved, covered in bristles that stick to clothing and animal fur.
