Description:
Usually a scrambling shrub, sometimes a small tree. Leaves 3-foliolate, ovate, with lateral leaflets strongly asymmetrical, densely covered in rusty or grey-green hairs, mainly on the under surface. Flowers in dense heads, leaf-opposed, yellowish-green, covered in rusty, woolly hairs. Fruit fleshy, 2-lobed with a warty surface.

Derivation of specific name: revoilii: named after Georges Révoil (1852-1894), French plant collector and author.

Worldwide distribution: Ghana, DRC, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mpumalanga, South Africa. Also in the Comores and Southern Arabia.
