Description:
Slender terrestrial herb 25–66 cm high; tubers globose to ellipsoid, up to 3 cm long, hairy. Leaves 8–10, along the stem, lowermost 3–4 sheath-like, upper ones grading into bracts, lanceolate, 3.5–8.5 cm long. Inflorescence fairly laxly up to c. 20-flowered; bracts usually shorter than the flowers. Flowers green. Dorsal ovate, sepal 6.5–11 mm long, erect, convex; lateral sepals obliquely lanceolate, 8–12 mm long, deflexed. Petals 2-lobed; posterior upper lobe linear, 6.5–10.6 mm long, erect, adnate to dorsal sepal; lower lobe long, narrowly linear, 7.5–15.5 mm long, deflexed then curving up. Lip 3-lobed; mid-lobe linear, 6.5–12 mm long, deflexed; side lobes usually shorter and narrower than mid-lobe; spur 8–11 mm long, basal half parallel to ovary, then abruptly bent up so that the apex is held above the flower,inflated at the apex.
