Description: |
Terrestrial herb 9–25 cm tall; tubers up to 2.5 × 1 cm, ovoid or globose, villous.Stem hairy, with 1 basal leaf and usually with 1–2 bract-like stem leaves.Basal leaf appressed to the ground, 1.5–3.5 × 2–4.5 cm, heart-shaped, green with purplish margin, sparsely hairy or glabrous on upper surface, the margin ciliate.Inflorescence 8–11 × 3.5 cm, laxly 6–14(30)-flowered; bracts 5 mm long.Flowers spreading, palegreen.Ovary and pedicel 12–15 mm long.Dorsal sepal erect, 4.5–6.5 × 2.5–4 mm, ovate, convex; lateral sepals spreading, 5.5–7 × 2–3 mm, obliquely semi-ovate.Petals 2-lobed ± to base; posterior lobe erect, 4–6 × 1–1.5 mm, curved linear, sparsely hairy; anterior lobe 6–14 mm long, c. 0.5 mm wide, upcurved, narrowly linear, glabrous.Lip glabrous, 3-lobed almost to base; mid-lobe 6–12 × c. 1.5 mm; side lobes 7.5–14 mm long, upcurved, about half as wide as mid-lobe; spur pendent or slightly incurved, usually swollen towards apex, 9–27 mm long.Anther 2–3 mm high, rounded; canals 0.8–1.5 mm long, upcurved.Stigmatic arms 1–2 mm long, decurved, club-shaped.(Source: JSTOR/FZ) |
