Inflorescence a digitate racemose arrangement, borne on a slender, erect peduncle. Raceme about 4 centimetre long, about 1,5 mm wide, 4 - 7 inflorescence, ascending but never spreading, straight to apically reflexed, not rigid. Spikelets minutely ovoid, about 1,5 x 1 mm, densely arranged on axis. Glumes membranous, straw-coloured to green to purple-tinted, awnless, glabrous.
