Annual up to 33 cm high; culms tufted. Involucral bracts leaf-like, the lowermost continuing in the direction of the culm, the inflorescence therefore appearing lateral. Inflorescence capitate, spikelets sessile, 8-30 per head; glumes golden yellowish-brown to dark reddish-brown. |
