Description: |
A perennial herb, usually acaulescent, occasionally developing a short aerial stem. Leaves few to numerous, prostrate, discolorous, up to 20 × 12 cm. Capitula subsessile, solitary or up to 7 clustered in the leaf rosette or before the leaves appear. The outer phyllaries (bracts) stiff and sharply pointed, greenish or straw coloured. Corollas yellowish, green or brownish, usually with purplish lobes. |
