Description: |
Perennial herb with elongated nodules on the roots. Stems erect or sometimes semi-decumbent but not rooting at the nodes, up to 50 cm long. Leaves 3-foliolate; petioles 1–3 cm long; leaflets hairless or sparsely hairy, variable in shape, narrowly cuneate-oblong, c. 1 cm long on the lower leaves, linear-lanceolate, up to 6 cm long, on the upper leaves; margins with well-marked, subulate teeth; stipules ending in bristly points, hairy at the margins. Inflorescence hemispherical or ovoid, c. 13 mm in diameter; peduncle up to 5 cm long, hairy, especially at the top; bracts up to 1 mm long, white. Flowers pink-purple, rarely white; standard c. 6 mm long. Pod 1–2-seeded. |
