Description:
Erect perennial herb up to 1.20 m high, sticky glandular. Leaves concentrated near the base, getting smaller higher up the stems; margins crenate, wavy. Flower heads white, cream or pale yellow, without ray-florets.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: hochstetteri: named after Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter (1787-1860), German Protestant minister, botanist, plant and collector.
