Erect annual, rarely short-lived perennial, herb. Leaves elliptic to slightly obovate, pubescent. Flowers small, whitish with green markings in the lower lip, held in long, lanceolate, pubescent bracts.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: mysorensis: of Mysore (Maysure) in India, where the type specimen was collected.
