Description:
Slender erect annual or perennial herb, up to 60 cm. Stems simple or sparsely branched, 4-ridged. Leaves sessile, broadly ovate to near circular, 5-veined from the base. Flowers in dense many-flowered terminal inflorescences, bright yellow; stamens inserted at the sinuses of the corolla. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule.
