Description: |
Erect annual herb up to 40 cm tall. Stem slender, 4-ridged. Leaves sessile, ovate-circular to almost kidney-shaped, 5–14 mm wide, 5-veined, cordate at the base. Flowers yellow or pale yellow, in terminal few to many flowered branched heads, very rarely solitary; bracts elliptic-lanceolate, 2–3 mm long. Calyx segments 5, ovate-lanceolate, 2.5–5 mm long, with a short wing on the keel, broader at or above the middle. Corolla tube, 3–4 mm long; lobes obovate-oblong, 1.5–3.5 mm long. Stamens inserted in the throat of the corolla. Capsule ellipsoid, 2–4 mm long. |
