Description:	Slender tree. Leaves alternate, variously ovate, conspicuously 4-5 veined from the markedly asymmetric base. Young leaves often palmately lobed. Flowers in small axillary clusters, creamy-white to pale yellow with golden hairs., sweetly scented. Fruit fleshy, flattened, crowned with the remains of the old calyx.

Worldwide distribution:	Bioko, Cameroon, DRC, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola. Also in tropical Asia from India to China,Japan and Indochina, Java and the Sunda Islands.
