Description: |
Perennial herb, up to 1.5 m, growing from a rhizome. Leaves (sub)opposite, becoming alternate in the inflorescence. Inflorescence up to 30 cm long. Flowers nodding, later erect, cream to deep pink with a long floral tube. Stigma entire, not 4-lobed. Fruits up to 4.5 cm, splitting at the apical end while still on the plant. |
