Description:
Semi-erect or climbing perennial, up to 2 m. Leaves 3 to 5-foliolate, somewhat leathery; leaflet margins irregularly serrate. Flowers in dense compact heads on a long peduncle, normally with tendrils, deep red with yellow anthers. The fruits, small red berries, are tart but edible.
