Description:
Decumbent to straggling erect perennial herb, with a weak sparsely branched stem less than 30 cm long, growing from a globose or turnip-shaped tuber 2–3 cm long. Stems slender with a white pubescence and often longer rusty spreading hairs when young. Leaves 1-foliolate, more or less 3-veined from the base, oblong-lanceolate, 2-10 cm long, pubescent above and on the veins beneath and glandular beneath; petiole c. 1–2 mm long; stipules lanceolate, c. 5-17 mm long, hairy, veined. Racemes axillary, 1.5–4 cm long; peduncle 1–2.5 cm long, with appressed and spreading hairs; bracts linear, 8 mm long. Calyx c. 5–7 mm long with long spreading rusty hairs; lobes lanceolate, 2–4 times as long as the tube. Standard greenish-yellow outside, yellow inside, 6–7 mm long, pubescent and glandular in the centre. Pods oblong, 6–7 mm long, with long rusty hairs, minute scaly hairs and scattered glands.
