Description: |
Annual herb. Leaves basal, up to c. 10 cm long, narrowly oblong, thick and fleshy, sheathing at the base, covered in soft appressed hairs or almost hairless. Flowers in few-flowered clusters held in a fleshy leaf-like bracts; tepals pink, mauve, violet or blue, often white in the centre; stamens embedded in dense blue hairs. |
