Description: |
Tufted annual. Culms up to 150 cm; nodes hairy. Lamina 5-20 mm wide, narrowly lanceolate to narrowly ovate, amplexicaul; margin tuberculate-ciliate. Inflorescence of 4-11 racemes, usually in one whorl; racemes 7-25 cm long, bare at the base for at least 1.5 cm. Spikelets 3.5-5.5 mm long. Upper glume cartilaginous, smooth and shining; upper lemma with a 2-4.5 mm awn. |
