Staminodes 0 or inconspicuous. Ovary 1-locular. Capsule 1-seeded. Derivation of name: for Augustin Friedrich Walther (1688-1746), German anatomist, botanist and physician. Worldwide: 30-50 species, mostly tropical America. Burundi: 1 taxon. |
