Calyx 5-lobed; lobes narrow, equal or subequal; corolla tubular, tube cylindric, upper lip broad, emarginate to entire, lower lip trilobed. Fruit a capsule globose, ovoid, usually loculicidally dehiscent. Seeds numerous, small, striate.
