Perennial herbs. Leaves 2-3-pinnate or 2-ternate with well-developed sheathing bases. Umbels compound. Bracts and bracteoles well-developed and conspicuous. Calyx teeth obsolete. Petals pubescent on the outer surface. Fruit cylindric to elliptic, subterete in section, bristly-hairy; ridges well-developed, obtuse. Worldwide: 5-7 species in tropical Africa Burundi: 1 taxon. |
